Mukambi Busanga Plains Camp
African Safari holidays in Kafue
Introduction
Deep in the heart of the famous Busanga Plains is the Mukambi Busanga Plains Camp, a seasonal bush camp. Mukambi Plains Camp is a personal and intimate camp, set on a small palm tree island in the middle of the vast Busanga Plains. An exciting 6 hour drive from Mukambi Safari Lodge, this is a remote camp in the Kafue National Park. Power is limited but solar lights and paraffin lamps are provided in the tents.
Accommodation

The Mukambi Busanga Plains Camp consists of 4 big, well-furnished safari tents (2 twin en 2 double) with en-suite open air bathrooms overlooking the Busanga Plains.

Dining

All meals are on a full board basis and are served in a main dining area with bar on a raised wooden deck with an expansive thatch roof. Mukambi is famous for its excellent cuisine, Mukambi Busanga Plains Camp being no exception.

Activities

Game drives are scheduled twice a day. One departs at sunrise and the afternoon drive (partly a night drive) leaves at approximately 2 hours before sunset. Drives are 3.5 to 4 hours long.
Safari Walks leave around an hour after sunrise to avoid the heat of the day. The walks take place in the Kafue National Park itself and are approximately 3 hours (unfortunately not available due to the wet conditions from approximately Dec to May).
